The Alpha Dog “Grator ” Laser Stippling for Glock is a high+ aggressive laser stippling pattern that, as the name implies, is aggressive like a cheese grater. This aggressive texture is recommended for mason’s that have leather-like hands and/or those that wear gloves when shooting. This texture is NOT recommended for concealed carry as it will chafe the skin. Our Grator stippling is a full 360 degree wrap which covers the entire purchase area of the frame. Front strap, back strap and full side coverage, in addition to forward the take down bar.
Laser Stippling differs from traditional stippling in that it is applied with a Laser instead of a soldering iron. As such, it is very precise and has a OEM look and feel. Numerous factors contribute to a successful Laser stipple. Of course, a proper laser type is required. In our case we use a 40W Fiber laser which has 3D capability. This enables us to perform 360 degree wraps on the compound surfaces of the Glock frame. Most lessor lasers can only stipple on relatively flat planes, like the sides of the grip only.
As with all of Alpha Dog’s stippling, this pattern can be adapted for any make/model BLACK Glock frame and is 100% applied by laser. Frame modifications such as finger groove removal, single undercut, double undercut and control cuts can be added to your laser stippling order, in addition to Cerakote.
NOTE: We can only laser stipple BLACK Glock frames. We can not laser stipple colored Glock frames or other polymer frame makes/models. All OEM colored Glock frames and other brands polymer frames are made from a material that requires a different type of laser than the one we use.
